This pick is the one that started it all. These popular picks use our solid Chillakwian Maple off cuts from the Tradition CDN SE guitars. The cross grain strength due to the unique flaming of west coast maple makes for a solid pick that has become a classic in our pick lineup. Although our new models offer flexibility that solid wood can’t deliver, there is a strong allegiance to these picks.
Materials used in the manufacture of our picks produce feel and tones that plastic or wood alone can’t deliver.
The secret is the orthotropic nature of wood meaning that wood has different properties in different planes, unlike plastics, that are isotropic in nature, they have the same properties in all planes. We can create a pick with the beneficial tone, wear-in, and hygroscopic nature of wood. These aren’t your dad’s bread bag clips!
